Leading Role
You stand on your own strength — steady from the inside, whether or not anyone is watching.
In a reading this role is described as the part of you that measures yourself against your own standard, not against anyone else’s.
A Leading Role is the Ten God that leads your chart. The Independent corresponds to Friend, and which stem carries it depends entirely on your Day Master — the same stem is a different god to different people.
| If your Day Master is | Then Friend is |
|---|---|
| Jia Wood | 甲 Jia (Yang Wood) |
| Yi Wood | 乙 Yi (Yin Wood) |
| Bing Fire | 丙 Bing (Yang Fire) |
| Ding Fire | 丁 Ding (Yin Fire) |
| Wu Earth | 戊 Wu (Yang Earth) |
| Ji Earth | 己 Ji (Yin Earth) |
| Geng Metal | 庚 Geng (Yang Metal) |
| Xin Metal | 辛 Xin (Yin Metal) |
| Ren Water | 壬 Ren (Yang Water) |
| Gui Water | 癸 Gui (Yin Water) |
Having a role in your chart is not the same as it leading your chart. The reading works out which one leads from the whole chart — the stems, the branches and their hidden stems together — not from any single character.
Your Leading Role is computed from your birth date and hour, free — no email needed to see it.
