Terms of Service, Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the cosmicguide.app website and its products, including BaZi natal reports and the Energy Map calendar (together, the “Service”), operated by COSMIC GUIDE, a Singapore-registered business (“we”, “us”, “our”). By ticking the acceptance box at checkout, purchasing, accessing or using any report or subscription generated by the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Purpose of the Service — reflection, culture & entertainment

All content, BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) charts, analyses, automated readings, calendars and downloadable reports provided by the Service are generated strictly for educational, cultural-interest, self-reflection and entertainment purposes only. The Service does not constitute, and must never be construed as providing:

Financial or investment advice — reports and calendars do not recommend buying, selling or holding any financial instrument, business venture or property;
Legal advice — no content constitutes legal counsel, contractual guidance or regulatory assessment;
Medical or mental-health advice — no content is designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any physical or psychological condition. Wellness references (e.g. “body-care windows”) are encouragements toward ordinary healthy habits and check-ups, never predictions of illness.

You are strongly advised to consult qualified, licensed professionals — registered financial advisers, certified medical practitioners, practising advocates and solicitors — before making any significant life, legal, medical or financial decision.

2. No guarantees or predictive certainty

BaZi is an interpretive system based on classical Chinese metaphysical theory. Reports and calendars are produced by deterministic algorithms and rule-sets applied to the birth data you supply. We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or real-world outcome of any reading, timing window or date suggestion. Your future, fortune, health and finances are determined by your own actions, external circumstances and personal choices. We accept no responsibility for actions you take, or refrain from taking, in reliance on the Service.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Singapore law (including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977):

We and our owner, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including loss of profits, financial loss, business interruption, reputational damage or emotional distress — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the Service; and
our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of these Terms or the Service is strictly limited to the amount you actually paid us for the specific report or subscription giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003.

4. Purchases, delivery & refunds

Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Reports are digital goods generated and delivered within minutes of purchase — a permanent copy is emailed to you and an online copy remains available for at least 90 days. Because each report is personalised and delivered immediately, purchases are non-refundable once your report has been generated, except where required by law or where we fail to deliver; in a genuine delivery failure we will regenerate your report or refund you in full. Energy Map subscriptions are sold as fixed terms (e.g. 12 months) paid once, with any bonus months stated at checkout; they do not auto-renew and no payment is ever collected without your explicit new purchase. If the Energy Map service is ever discontinued during your term, we will deliver the remainder of your term as a document or refund the unused portion pro-rata.

5. Your responsibilities

Age. You confirm you are at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent. Reports for minors are purchased by, addressed to, and remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Birth data accuracy. Readings are computed solely from the birth date, time and place you enter. You are responsible for their accuracy; we are not responsible for readings affected by errors in the data you provide (the report states the data it was computed from so you can verify it).
Personal use. Reports and map access are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. Access links may be shared within your household at your own discretion; reselling, republishing or offering the Service’s output commercially is not permitted.

6. Intellectual property

All software, algorithms, report structures, layouts, text templates, graphics and the Cosmic Guide name are our exclusive intellectual property. Classical sources cited in reports (e.g. 子平真詮, 三命通會, 滴天髓) are historical public-domain texts; our selections, verifications, translations and presentations of them are our own work.

7. Personal data (PDPA)

Your name, email and birth details are collected solely to generate and deliver your purchase, and are handled in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 as described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell or share your personal data.

8. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by the Courts of Singapore, including, where applicable, the Small Claims Tribunals.
