Terms of Service, Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the cosmicguide.app website and its products, including BaZi natal reports, the Leading Role report, the follow-up questions answered by our AI assistant, the Energy Map calendar, and Qi Men questions asked through “Ask the Qi Men chart” (together, the “Service”), operated by COSMIC GUIDE, a Singapore-registered business (“we”, “us”, “our”). By ticking the acceptance box at checkout, purchasing, accessing or using any report or subscription generated by the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Purpose of the Service — reflection, culture & entertainment

All content, BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) and Qi Men Dun Jia charts, analyses, automated readings, calendars, downloadable reports and answers given by our AI assistant to your follow-up questions are provided by the Service and generated strictly for educational, cultural-interest, self-reflection and entertainment purposes only. The Service does not constitute, and must never be construed as providing:

• Financial or investment advice — reports, calendars and Qi Men readings do not recommend buying, selling or holding any financial instrument, business venture or property, and are not a basis for trading, investing, lending or gambling decisions;
• Legal advice — no content constitutes legal counsel, contractual guidance or regulatory assessment, or any view on the likely outcome of a case, dispute, investigation or penalty;
• Medical or mental-health advice — no content is designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any physical or psychological condition. Wellness references (e.g. “body-care windows”) are encouragements toward ordinary healthy habits and check-ups, never predictions of illness.

Qi Men questions on sensitive matters. Qi Men is a traditional method that is used for questions about money, business, legal cases, health, travel, safety, and lost or stolen property or missing people. A reading on any of these is still reflective, cultural-interest content. It does not tell you whether to invest, trade, sign, sue, settle, plead, seek or stop treatment, or travel. A reading about a theft or a dispute does not identify who is responsible and must never be used to accuse, confront or report any person. If a person is missing, a crime has happened, or someone’s health or safety is at risk, contact the police, emergency services or a doctor straight away and do not wait for, or rely on, a reading.

You are strongly advised to consult qualified, licensed professionals — registered financial advisers, certified medical practitioners, practising advocates and solicitors — before making any significant life, legal, medical or financial decision.

This applies in full to the follow-up questions feature. A question asked in a chat box and answered in conversational language is still reflective, cultural-interest content and nothing more; the format does not turn it into professional advice, and you should not treat it as such however directly it may be phrased.

2. No guarantees or predictive certainty

BaZi is an interpretive system based on classical Chinese metaphysical theory. Your chart, pillars, cycles and calendar dates are produced by deterministic algorithms and rule-sets applied to the birth data you supply. The written interpretation built on them, and every answer given to a follow-up question, are composed by an artificial-intelligence language model working from that computed output; such answers are generated afresh each time and are not deterministic. We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or real-world outcome of any reading, timing window or date suggestion. Your future, fortune, health and finances are determined by your own actions, external circumstances and personal choices. We accept no responsibility for actions you take, or refrain from taking, in reliance on the Service.

For Qi Men questions, you confirm the type of question before the chart is computed for that submission and your selected time zone. Suggestions may be wrong, so choose the type that matches your question. The chart, triggered findings and their stated conditions are generated by fixed rules. Some questions receive no supported reading. Additional commentary and follow-up answers are generated by an artificial-intelligence language model and can be mistaken. The chart-only option provides the available engine reading without an AI consultation. Asking again at a different moment gives a new chart; it is not a correction of an earlier reading.

3. Follow-up questions answered by AI

Some readings — including, from time to time, readings we provide free of charge — include a small number of follow-up questions about the reading you have received. Please note the following before you use them.

• You are not speaking to a person. Your questions are answered by an artificial-intelligence assistant. No human practitioner writes, checks or approves an answer before you read it. Nothing in the wording of an answer should be taken as a human opinion, and no practitioner-client relationship of any kind arises from using the feature.
• Answers can be wrong. AI assistants can misread, omit, overstate or invent. We make no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any answer, and the disclaimers and limitations in sections 1, 2 and 4 apply to answers exactly as they apply to reports.
• Qi Men follow-ups. For a Qi Men question, “your report” in this section means the chart, the chart’s reading and the consultation you received for that question. Follow-up questions are answered from that same chart; a question about a different matter is not read from it and should be asked as a new question.
• Your report prevails. The assistant answers only from the report you have already received. Where an answer differs from, adds to or contradicts your report, your report is the authoritative version and the answer should be disregarded.
• Scope. The assistant answers only from your report. Questions it cannot answer from your report, questions outside the reading, and questions about how the reading is prepared are declined.
• When a question counts. A question is used only when an answer is produced for you. If no answer is produced — because the question was declined before it was considered, because a reply was withheld, or because the service failed — it is not counted and remains available to you. Where an answer is produced from your report, it counts as used even if part of what you asked fell outside the reading and was set aside: a partial or redirected answer is still an answer.
• How many, and for how long. Where a reading includes follow-up questions, the number included is stated where you obtain that reading, whether it is purchased or provided free of charge, and is counted per report. They are available for as long as that report’s online link remains live — ordinarily about 90 days. Unused questions expire with the link. They hold no cash value, are not refundable in whole or in part, and cannot be transferred to another report, another product or another person.
• Availability. The feature depends on a third-party AI provider and may be slow, interrupted or temporarily unavailable. Such an interruption is not a failure to deliver your report for the purposes of section 5, and does not give rise to a refund of the report.
• Fair use. We may limit, suspend or withdraw the feature in respect of a particular report where use appears to be automated, abusive, or directed at extracting our underlying methods, and we may cap the number of attempts made against a single report. Your report itself always remains available to you and is unaffected.
• What not to type. Please do not enter payment details, passwords, identification or account numbers, detailed medical information, or the personal details of any other living person into the question box. The feature does not need them and they should not be submitted.
• What we keep. Your questions and the answers given are stored alongside your report, are deleted when it is deleted, and may be read by us to check quality and safety. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Singapore law (including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977):

• We and our owner, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including loss of profits, financial loss, business interruption, reputational damage or emotional distress — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the Service; and
• our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of these Terms or the Service is strictly limited to the amount you actually paid us for the specific report, subscription or Qi Men question giving rise to the claim. A follow-up question forms part of the report it belongs to and carries no separate or additional liability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003.

5. Purchases, delivery & refunds

Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Reports are personalised digital goods prepared automatically after purchase — usually ready within the hour, and in any case within 48 hours of payment. A permanent copy is emailed to you and an online copy remains available for at least 90 days. Because each report is personalised to your birth data, purchases are non-refundable once your report has been generated and delivered, except where required by law or where we fail to deliver; if your report has not been delivered within 48 hours of payment, contact us and we will complete delivery promptly or refund you in full. Where a product includes follow-up questions, those questions form part of that product and are governed by section 3; they are not separately priced and are not separately refundable. Energy Map subscriptions are sold as fixed terms (e.g. 12 months) paid once, with any bonus months stated at checkout; they do not auto-renew and no payment is ever collected without your explicit new purchase. If the Energy Map service is ever discontinued during your term, we will deliver the remainder of your term as a document or refund the unused portion pro-rata.

Qi Men questions. Each purchase is for the selected pack of one or three question credits, at the price shown at checkout. A private link is emailed to the address you give; anyone who has the link can use it, so please keep it to yourself (we can resend it to the same address). The question can be asked at any time within 12 months of purchase, after which it expires. A credit is used only when an AI consultation is delivered and the chart gave at least one reading; an engine-only fallback does not use a credit. It is not used, and you can ask again, if your question is not a type the chart can read, if no applicable rule finding is available, if the consultation cannot be completed, or if you stop when asked for your date of birth; if you choose to continue without your date of birth, the question is used in the normal way. Each question includes 3 follow-up questions on the same chart, governed by section 3. All sales are final. The only exception is if your link never arrives and we can’t resend it; contact us and we will refund you in full.

6. Your responsibilities

• Qi Men questions about other people. Ask about matters that are yours to ask about. Do not use the Service to monitor, locate or make judgements about another person, to seek help in harming anyone, or in connection with any unlawful act.
• Age. You confirm you are at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent. Reports for minors are purchased by, addressed to, and remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
• Birth data accuracy. Readings are computed solely from the birth date, time and place you enter. You are responsible for their accuracy; we are not responsible for readings affected by errors in the data you provide (the report states the data it was computed from so you can verify it).
• No extraction. You may not attempt to discover, reverse-engineer, probe for or extract the algorithms, rule-sets, tables, prompts or internal methods behind the Service, whether through follow-up questions, automated requests or any other means, and you may not submit questions by automated means.
• Personal use. Reports, answers to follow-up questions and map access are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. Access links may be shared within your household at your own discretion; reselling, republishing or offering the Service’s output commercially is not permitted.

7. Intellectual property

All software, algorithms, report structures, layouts, text templates, graphics, the wording of our reports and of the answers given to follow-up questions, and the Cosmic Guide name are our exclusive intellectual property. Classical sources cited in reports (e.g. 子平真詮, 三命通會, 滴天髓) are historical public-domain texts; our selections, verifications, translations and presentations of them are our own work.

8. Personal data (PDPA)

Your name, email and birth details, together with the text of any follow-up question or Qi Men question you ask and the answer given, are collected solely to generate and deliver your purchase and to support you in using it, and are handled in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 as described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell or share your personal data.

9. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by the Courts of Singapore, including, where applicable, the Small Claims Tribunals.
