Pillar 16 of 60
Ji Mao pairs the yin Earth stem Ji with the Wood branch Rabbit. A pillar can sit in any of the four positions of a chart — year, month, day or hour — and what it means depends on which.
Read as a day pillar, Ji is the Day Master and the stems hidden in Rabbit become its Ten Gods.
| Hidden stem | Element | Ten God to Ji |
|---|---|---|
| 乙 Yi | Yin Wood | Seven Killings · The Vanguard |
| Branch clash | Rooster |
|---|---|
| Six combination | Dog — to Fire |
| Trine | Pig, Rabbit, Goat — Wood |
A year pillar is only one of four. Your day pillar — the one that carries your Day Master — needs your birth date, and the hour pillar needs your birth time.
