Pillar 19 of 60
Ren Wu pairs the yang Water stem Ren with the Fire branch Horse. A pillar can sit in any of the four positions of a chart — year, month, day or hour — and what it means depends on which.
Read as a day pillar, Ren is the Day Master and the stems hidden in Horse become its Ten Gods.
| Hidden stem | Element | Ten God to Ren |
|---|---|---|
| 丁 Ding | Yin Fire | Direct Wealth · The Provider |
| 己 Ji | Yin Earth | Direct Officer · The Statesman |
| Branch clash | Rat |
|---|---|
| Six combination | Goat — to Fire |
| Trine | Tiger, Horse, Dog — Fire |
A year pillar is only one of four. Your day pillar — the one that carries your Day Master — needs your birth date, and the hour pillar needs your birth time.
