Pillar 12 of 60
Yi Hai pairs the yin Wood stem Yi with the Water branch Pig. A pillar can sit in any of the four positions of a chart — year, month, day or hour — and what it means depends on which.
Read as a day pillar, Yi is the Day Master and the stems hidden in Pig become its Ten Gods.
| Hidden stem | Element | Ten God to Yi |
|---|---|---|
| 壬 Ren | Yang Water | Direct Resource · The Scholar |
| 甲 Jia | Yang Wood | Rob Wealth · The Kingmaker |
| Branch clash | Snake |
|---|---|
| Six combination | Tiger — to Wood |
| Trine | Pig, Rabbit, Goat — Wood |
A year pillar is only one of four. Your day pillar — the one that carries your Day Master — needs your birth date, and the hour pillar needs your birth time.
