Pillar 27 of 60
Geng Yin pairs the yang Metal stem Geng with the Wood branch Tiger. A pillar can sit in any of the four positions of a chart — year, month, day or hour — and what it means depends on which.
| Stem | Geng Metal 庚 · Yang |
|---|---|
| Branch | Tiger 寅 · Wood |
| Direction | Northeast |
| Hours | 3–5am |
Read as a day pillar, Geng is the Day Master and the stems hidden in Tiger become its Ten Gods.
| Hidden stem | Element | Ten God to Geng |
|---|---|---|
| 甲 Jia | Yang Wood | Indirect Wealth · The Entrepreneur |
| 丙 Bing | Yang Fire | Seven Killings · The Vanguard |
| 戊 Wu | Yang Earth | Indirect Resource · The Visionary |
| Branch clash | Monkey |
|---|---|
| Six combination | Pig — to Wood |
| Trine | Tiger, Horse, Dog — Fire |
A year pillar is only one of four. Your day pillar — the one that carries your Day Master — needs your birth date, and the hour pillar needs your birth time.
