Pillar 8 of 60
Xin Wei pairs the yin Metal stem Xin with the Earth branch Goat. A pillar can sit in any of the four positions of a chart — year, month, day or hour — and what it means depends on which.
Read as a day pillar, Xin is the Day Master and the stems hidden in Goat become its Ten Gods.
| Hidden stem | Element | Ten God to Xin |
|---|---|---|
| 己 Ji | Yin Earth | Indirect Resource · The Visionary |
| 丁 Ding | Yin Fire | Seven Killings · The Vanguard |
| 乙 Yi | Yin Wood | Indirect Wealth · The Entrepreneur |
| Branch clash | Ox |
|---|---|
| Six combination | Horse — to Fire |
| Trine | Pig, Rabbit, Goat — Wood |
A year pillar is only one of four. Your day pillar — the one that carries your Day Master — needs your birth date, and the hour pillar needs your birth time.
